What shoes to wear with yoga pants?

Recommended Posts

I am a big fan of yoga pants, they are extremely comfortable and easy to wear. I use to wear them during yoga classes, as well as at home. Now, I am starting to think of wearing these bottoms in the streets. Basically, I want to know what shoes I can wear with yoga pants? Can someone please advise me something? Thanks!

You can try these pants with cool Converse shoes, as well as with any sporty style flats, including New Balance, Nike or adidas. Just keep your look simple, yoga pants are only for casual walks on the town, so you better add something comfortable and easy to wear. I do have yoga trousers, but I use them only at home, as loungewear completed with comfy slippers. Anyway, try on flip-flops or black moccasins. You can practically wear any shoe that doesn't go higher than your ankle.

There are different styles of yoga pants. The first pair is called boot-cut or flared yoga trousers. These bottoms are popular ones, featuring drawstring waists, elasticized legs and flared fit. Try them on with fitted athletic shoes, old-school sneaks, sporty low top mary janes, or flat sandals. Another pair of yoga pants are the ones that are long and fitted. These bottoms can be worn as tights or leggings (most ladies call them leggings) completed with ballerina flats, flat sandals, simple athletic shoes or boots. The last but not least are short and fitted yoga pants that look like skinny capri pants. Try them with low shoes, ballerinas, flip-flops, flat sandals and high boots that won't show any leg skin.
