How to wear dresses in winter and stay warm?

Recommended Posts

I guess you will need a longer dress made of winter fabrics. You can still wear frocks made of lighter fabrics, but they have to be layered with heavy coats, cardigans or other warm tops. A longer dress, like knee length or even longer will for sure keep you warmer. I see many ladies who wear light dresses under warm knitwear. An insulated sweater is a great layering that can make you look nice and chic. Next tip is to add fleece lined tights or leggings. You can be creative by choosing printed or brightly colored version, or go for neutral color version like opaque tights. Another idea is to add knee high boots. Your dress will definitely look great with fashionable knee-high boots or thigh highs. You can wear them with socks under. Another way to wear a dress during Winter cold season is to use thermal undergarments. Go for long sleeve undershirt over bra and tight shorts like thermal panties or leggings underneath. Another way to keep your body safe in winter while wearing dress is to add a jacket under your coat. For instance, try on a jacket over sweater dress and complete it with a camel wool coat. result looks incredibly chic! The last but not least is to complete your look with warm details, like hat, gloves, scarf.

There is no strategy in wearing dress during cold months. You just need to add warm layers and that's it! Think of thermal underwear, leggings, tights, wool socks and boots. A great solution for this year: try on a bulky coat over your leather jacke worn atop knee length dress. Or try on a tailored skirt over your dress. A midi dress can be updated with a sweater. Use leg warmers, long sleeve dresses made of cozy materials, pair of high socks tucked in OTK boots.
